Hawthorn Farm Caravan Club Site, Crabtree Lane, Sutton on Sea, LN12 2RS, Tel 01507441503

To Find Site:- Take A52 at roundabout in Sutton on Sea in the direction of Skegness. In about one mile turn right into Crabtree Lane, which is signed for Sutton, Ings and Alford, there is also a brown caravan site direction sign. The site is on the left in about half a mile. (It is best to avoid following site signs from the A1111 as the road is narrow in places)

Hawthorn Farm, a members only site, has 115 pitches of which 53 are on hardstanding. The pitches are arranged around a circular site road. In one corner of the site is a play area suitable for younger children. The site is open from mid march through to early November. There is one centrally situated toilet block. The toilets are cleaned during the early afternoon,  which in my view is a sensible time. Whilst being cleaned there is access to two unisex toilets so there are always facilities available. Milk and ice cream are sold at reception and newspapers can be ordered for the following day. On Tuesday evenings a mobile fish and chip van visits the site, having sampled them they are really very good. There is good mobile reception on site. TV reception on the other hand was a bit hit and miss. The only thing that I would criticise about the site is the provision of toilet emptying facilities as from some pitches there is quite a hike.

This is an ideal site for those that want to be near the sea. The beautiful sandy beach at Sandilands is about a 20 minute walk away. There is a nice traffic free promenade that runs all the way to Sutton on Sea and beyond. The fleshpots of Skegness and Mablethorpe are not far away! There are also supermarkets in both places.
