To Find Site:- Leave N7 at junction 12 and take D519 signed for Grenoble. Continue to the village of Bourgé Chambalud, about 5 miles,  and follow signs to campsite in village.

This is a site of 156 pitches is set out along a tarmac road that runs along a river valley. Spurs lead off this road to pitches set out on terraces in groups of 6 up the side of the shallow valley. The pitches higher up are taken by permanent static caravans. Access should be OK to the terraced pitches providing there is room to manoeuvre the car, the pitches themselves are level and average between 90 and 110 sq metres. Reception is very friendly as are all the staff with 'Madam' being very keen to please her customers. Reception is generally closed between 12 noon and 3.00pm although there is ample parking outside the barrier. We arrived in early September and it was blissfully peaceful although of course during the main season it will be very much busier. The site has wonderful facilities for families with a really impressive swimming complex with water chutes. There are also tennis courts, crazy golf, trampolines and lots of other play equipment. At reception there is a limited range of drinks and sweets for sale. During high season there is a snack bar. In the Bar/Reception area there is free WiFi.

For bread you have to walk into the village. For more serious shopping there are two supermarkets on the N7 just north of Chanas. Considering that Bourgé Chambalud is just south of Lyon and only a couple of miles from the Autoroute we found it a very peaceful site and would recommend it either for an overnight stop or a longer stay. One possible excursion from the site is to Anneyron which is the home of La Fuma, the company have a factory shop on site.
