To find site:-  Leave A75 at junction 13 and head towards Parentignan on D996. At first roundabout continue straight on (Parentignan signed to left) and at next roundabout take first right on D34 signed for Les Pradeaux. Campsite is signed from here.

Camping la Grange Fort is a pleasant rustic country campsite set in and around an old Chateaux about 20 miles south of Clermont  Ferrand and not far from the A75 autoroute. The site is Dutch owned and the owners, as would be expected, speak perfect English. There are around 120 pitches of a variety of sizes but mostly generous to large. Some have an open aspect whilst others are individually hedged. Some are quite private if that is your requirement although access to these pitches could be difficult for larger outfits. Some of the pitches are on grass but others are on gravel or compacted soil hardstandings. Electric points are rated at 6amps and are a mix of CEE17 and continental connectors. Water points are dotted around the site. Toilet facilities are good with seated toilets but no paper provided, some facilities are unisex. There is a lovely outside swimming pool as well as an indoor one. Bread can be ordered at Reception and they also sell wine and ice cream. The site boasts a restaurant although I could not quite establish where it was situated! WiFi is available, via the Passman system, as is fixed terminal internet access. The ACSI Card is accepted out of the main season. Date of visit early September 2009.

This site is a useful stop over going north/south on the A75 although the site has a certain charm which should encourage a longer stay. There is a large Carrefour near junction 12 at Issoire. If you have time there is lots to explore in the area.
