This site is about 17 miles from Trier on the Saarbrucken road (51) and is well signed from just after the village of Ayl.

The approach to this site is very steep with about 12 hairpin bends. As a result of its height above Saarburg the site owners have installed a chair lift which takes you right down into the town, it even carries bicycles. Warsberg is a large site and is Dutch owned and as a consequence the bulk of the campers are Dutch. One half of the site, divided by the reception block is given over to bungalow's and the rest is given over to camping. The furthest pitches are a long way from the reception and toilet blocks but these pitches do have some of the best views. The size of pitches is good and the site has a spacious feel despite its overall large size. The management seem to have a policy of pre -allocation of pitches. So despite the apparent emptiness of the site you can't choose where you want to be although at a push they will allow you to move, providing the alternative pitch is not due to be used by someone else during your stay. This is not so much a camp site but more a holiday complex. The toilets are excellent as is the site shop. There is a takeaway, bar and a rather nice looking restaurant. Facilities for youngsters are excellent with a swimming pool and large play area.

There is plenty to do in this region to fill a week at this site. The town of Saarburg is very pleasant. Trier is well worth a visit. The Saar and Moselle also give plenty of opportunities to explore.
