To find site:- Leave A44 at junction 67 onto road 251 towards Istha and Ippinghausen. In Ippinghausen take road to Naumburg and as you enter town turn right opposite the Edeka supermarket to campsite. (The campsite has an excellent graphical representation of the route from the autobahn on it’s website.)

Camping Naumburg is set on the edge of the pretty small town of Naumburg. The site is terraced and pitching areas split into circular sections taking 6/12 touring units. The banks between pitching areas are left uncut and as a result have perfusion of wild flowers. Each section has its own water tap. The bottom two sections have serviced pitches for which there is an extra nightly charge. Most of the pitching areas have an open aspect but near to reception is a small section in a wooded area. Electrical supply is rated at 16amp and the bollards accept CEE17 blue connectors. There are two toilets blocks of excellent quality with seated toilets and paper provided. Access is via an electronic tab, deposit of  €15 required. The tab also is used in the showers to provide hot water. I understand the tab also controls the site entrance barrier but all the time we were there the barrier was in the raised position. In the reception area is a small shop where bread can be ordered. The site has a small takeaway/eating area behind the reception with prices that look quite reasonable. Near to here is a children’s play area. There is free WiFi which is site wide. In order to access the internet you have to make some minor changes to the LAN settings on your computer with the information provided by the campsite. The owner keeps several donkeys which at times roam the site although they seem quite affable, including the owner!  They can be feed but not with fresh bread. We were able to get all UK FTA TV stations with our 80cm dish. During the low season the campsite accepts the ACSI Card. Date of visit June 2011.

Naumburg is only a short walk from the campsite, for those interested in railways there is a small museum. The large town of  Kassel about 25 miles away. Almost next door to the campsite is a nice Municipal swimming pool. For shopping there is an Edeka supermarket just at the end of the road from the campsite.
