To find site: North or south on the D622 Castelnaudary-Castres road take the road in Revel towards Soreze, initially D1 and then D85. In Soreze follow road through town and watch out for sign pointing left to campsite. Initially this road looks narrow but it’s only between two buildings and widens out immediately. The campsite entrance is on the right at the green sign.

St Martin is a small peaceful campsite, probably a former municipal, just off the road that runs through Soreze. It only has about 40 touring pitches and about a dozen chalets for hire. The pitches vary in size but there are some good sized ones if you search them out. Many fairly private.  A few smaller ones have an area to hardstanding which are more suited to motorhomes on short stays. Pitches are individually divided by shrubs and bushes and there are plenty of mature trees to provide shade, although this might be troublesome if you want to get satellite reception. Water points are dotted around the site but the only disposal point for grey water is at the motorhome service point although I am sure there would be no objection to disposing of it around the site planting. Electric points are via CEE17 blue connectors and are rated at a useful 10 amps. Although perhaps best to check for reverse polarity. There is one toilet block which is kept very clean and had seated pedestal toilets and paper provided. There are also some nice touches with soap and towel being provided. Next to reception is a small covered eating area with the site offering a fairly basic menu and there is also a bar. Next to this is a rather nice small swimming pool. For children there is a playground and volley ball court. The site offers free WiFi although not site wide.   Out of the high season the site accepts the ACSI discount card.

There are eating places in the town only a short stroll from the campsite as well as a small supermarket and bakers. Soreze is also worth a wander round as it has many old features and details of its past detailed at key points through the town in both French and English. Revel is about 5 miles away and offers more extensive shopping opportunities including an Intermarche with fuel. It is also has an interesting Centre Ville which is well worth having a look at.
