To find site:- From Rostock take road 105 signed for Stralsund. After 40kms take left turn towards Barth. (sat navs can take you to the site via some quite minor roads, down to single track in places so best to use the route via Barth) Follow the road through Barth and in Pruchten turn left following campsite signs.

Camping Naturcamp Pruchten is situated a few miles inland from the Baltic Coast on the Zingst Peninsular. The site has two sections. The original site which is heavily wooded with pitches amongst the trees and a new section with  a more open aspect with generously sized serviced pitches. In the wooded section the pitches are more randomly placed. The older section of the site also accommodates many permanent caravans and structures. Electricity supply is rated at 16amps and uses CEE17 blue connectors. The main toilet block looks quite recent and has very good facilities with seated toilets and paper provided. Likewise the older block is also of a good standard but not always open. The site has a Bar/Restaurant and a small shop (limited opening hours) selling essentials and bread can be ordered the day before for morning collection. For children there is a playground for smaller ones and table tennis and a kick about area for older ones. Local information is available in Reception a little of which is in English but the bulk in German. Bicycles can be hired from the campsite. WiFi is available within the vicinity of reception the cost being more reasonable the more you buy. Apart from BBC News 24 and a few obscure English language  channels we were unable to get the normal BBC/ITV programmes on our 80cm dish via our FTA receiver. Date of visit late May 2011.

This site is ideal for using as a base to explore this interesting area of Germany. There are good cycle paths from the campsite. You can also walk to the inland estuary from the site. For shopping there are a couple of supermarkets in Barth a few miles from the campsite.
